Kindness for the Holidays (via Paying it forward - One day at a time)

This is such a beautiful post from Paying it Forward ~ One Day at a Time's facebook page.

"I am putting together our Christmas Countdown project where we do something every day to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. These are some of the things we did last year. Can you add to the list?"

*Tape quarters to kids vending machines
*Handout flowers at the store
*Donate to the animal shelter
*Leave candy canes on atms
*Shop and donate to food bank
*Donate money for school lunches
*Return shopping carts
classroom supplies
*Leave popcorn on redbox
*Bake cookies for the fire station
*Leave happy notes on mirrors
*Chalk messages at park
*Send letters to a soldiers
*Tape coupons at the store
*Make and hang bird feeders
*Make & donate a blanket to hospital
*Leave a dollar in favorite library book
*Make hot chocolate kit for bell ringers
*Hang "take what you need" posters
*Make & take muffins for teachers
*Pick a card off the Angel tree
*Make treat bags for class
*Leave a treat for mailman
*Christmas cards to nursing home

In addition to these wonderful ideas......Invite someone who lives alone to an event, dinner, maybe a church service. Far too many people find themselves out of place around the holidays as so much of the emphasis is on families.
