Happy Twixmas, The Most Confusing Time of the Year

On the First Day of Twixmas.....no, sorry,  I'm kidding; there is unfortunately no official carol for this holiday, ha ha. It is a mishmash of post-Christmas leftovers and chaos, wrapping paper still piled on the dining room table perhaps, a refrigerator stuffed with leftover ham, turkey, pie, and random cookies throughout the house. It's a good time of the year! ðŸ˜ƒ

Sandwiched in between Christmas and New Year's, this holiday was created to acknowledge the weird, undefined space where people have days off, partial work days, kids out of school, year-end deadlines, slightly confused dogs, and general chaos. 🤣 It's not a bad thing; if you are off work, Twixmas could be an opportunity to clean the house, play board games, take naps, catch up on projects, volunteer, get outdoors, explore nature with the family, take some hikes, or visit nearby museums and local attractions. A few years back, when we used to wind up with two weeks off around the holidays, we'd visit museums all over Delmarva, stop and eat at little out of the way sandwich shops, and go to parks and wildlife refuge areas.
Here are some images to celebrate this mini-season ~

Whatever you choose to do, during this time of year, I hope it brings you peace and happiness as we celebrate the last few days of the year. Have fun with it - incorporate fun games into your family time and get out to meet up with old friends - work on your Word of the Year, clean the house, or make big plans for 2025. Wishing you
and your family a very happy holiday season!⛄️✨️🎄 #twixmas2024
