Coping With Life's Storms | Inspiration During A Pandemic

Sometimes life knocks us down, wears us out or just drains energy from our soul. It's not weakness and it's not a failure of our personality to feel overwhelmed sometimes, and during the last several months I've noticed more of my friends trying to face life in a pandemic in various ways, because we all cope in a different manner.

I hope you find some inspiring thoughts in this post which encourage you to be kind to yourself, reach out if necessary or simply offer a sympathetic space to someone else who may be struggling.

We can all practice extra kindness and, basic as it may seem, just follow the reminder to "love one another".

Stay tuned into subtle sign of sadness or feeling overloaded. Notice when you need a break and perhaps begin to observe when someone else may need to talk.

Practice being a good listener. Not an interrupter or problem solver or fix-it wizard. Just a kind person who can hear someone else out.

Offer encouragement freely. Give compliments generously. Take every opportunity to engage in a conversation which could really help to uplift someone.

Employers and coworkers are valuable resources in spotting early warning signs of depression or mental health issues, so we can all contribute by being aware of symptoms. See this article
"The true cost of ignoring mental health in the workplace"

You don't really know what's going on or the battles someone else is facing. Be less quick to judge and avoid making assumptions.

Reference guide:

When things just get overwhelming.....remember you deserve to get what you need.

Leave the negative stuff behind. Learn from it yes, and fix what is needed.....and then go forward with enthusiasm.

Avoid being sucked into other people's drama. knowing when to walk away is making a better choice to ensure your well-being.

In the middle of difficult circumstance, remember that YOU MATTER. Pick your battles carefully but don't allow yourself to be railroaded.

I hope these offer a bit of positive energy for your week. Share, pass on and save to inspire you and someone else during a dark time, because we can all do something to help others. Have a beautiful day!
