Since 2016 I've been visiting and photographing tributes to our veterans and armed forces across the Delmarva Peninsula. Made up of one complete state (Delaware), and the eastern shore counties of Maryland and Virginia, our unique area contains a total of fourteen counties.

Where No One Stands Alone

Today we - strangers, local residents, members of our military branches, ordinary people - paid our respects to two U.S. Army veterans. Two gentlemen who passed away recently were without family or friends, yet an entire cemetery chapel was packed to honor them.

Rescue Fire Company Train Garden in Cambridge, MD

We finally got here! Thanks to a stroke of luck with the Fire Company volunteers reopening the train garden during the Cambridge Ice Festival, we were granted one more opportunity to view this amazing attraction. For the first time ever, the model railroad wonderland opened it's doors after the holiday season, providing us one extra chance to visit during a cold January weekend.
