Halloween Oddness in OId-Fashioned and Terrifying Greeting Cards

Once again, it's time. My fascination with vintage cards goes completely off the charts this time of the year when discovering strange, "unique" and downright weird images from the past. Apparently, Halloween in years gone by was a truly delightful (terrifying?) experience, meant to be thoroughly enjoyed by all, with thoughtful greetings such as these sent to loved ones....or, not so loved ones. Happy October and enjoy!

Retro autumn cheer and adorable dancing mice. So cute! (No....perhaps not. They appear to be sort of....racing for their lives from the deranged broom-wielding cat).

Yes, GOOD LUCK with the Scariest Bagpipe player ever...

*** raises hand (never mind, no need to dig further).

This could be the world's Most. Terrifying. Seesaw.

I don't care how lost I am, definitely not going "that way".

Now this one is cute and normal, just holiday dance partners celebrating together.

...but THIS gets filed under "Disturbing Halloween Images".

((so many questions.....))

Charming felines....with some teeth. 😧

just....R.I.P.

Good Golly. Not sure if I'd drive like this or maybe just stay off the roads entirely....

The watermelon....is the getaway car??

A lovely.....(?) couple.....

Um.....yeah, about this: the pumpkins were apparently gift-wrapping the cats in sheets, when all hell broke lose and everyone took to the sky in a panic. THE END.

Looks like a jolly good time being had here!

This one is nice....a cheery moon greeting card.

This raises questions about parenting, or lack of it.....

I love mushrooms but don't think I'd fool around
with these fungi (fun guys, right?)

Oh GOOD. Let's let the demented pumpkin creatures cut us some lovely cake!

Ah, wasn't this nice? Please DO come back to my blog again (HA HA). Happy Halloween!
