Mother's Day for Dog Moms & Cat Moms (2nd Saturday in May)

Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing women who rescue, adopt, love, and cherish their beloved furry friends. 💔 The 2nd Saturday of May has been officially proclaimed National Dog Mom’s Day but personally I think it should extend to ALL moms of furkids of all kinds - dogs, cats, feathered friends, rodents, fish and so on, don't you?

To celebrate this day I'm working on organizing some of my many (many) photos of the rescued furkids who share our home, but I wanted to share some graphics with you to celebrate this occasion as well. Check out the smaller images at the end of this post! They are png (transparent) files (Dog Mom, Cat Mom, etc) that you can save and add to your photos or images. 😀

It's not that I don't care about the traditional version of Mother's Day, I just know how much some of us have poured our lives and hearts into the welfare of countless homeless animals, AND I believe there is a very special bond that develops between humans and animals which are adopted. It's almost as if they know they were "specially chosen" to be someone's best friend, furry family member and honorary kid with four feet. 💕
