Colors of Autumn: Scenes from the Delmarva Peninsula

Fall is a time of change and shifts....a season of winding down, for some in our coastal areas, but for others, reasons to plan and prepare for the upcoming holidays. It's also often a chance for reflection and change; decisions put off during the last five months now need to be made; projects postponed while in the midst of a hectic summer are now ready for discussion and progress.

And yet, no matter if you are racing forward towards Christmas or wrapping up post-season, everyone might benefit from pausing to soak up the evolution of autumn. Notice the trees and leaves as they change and drift down..... drive out to admire your favorite views in bright hues....find special places for a photo shoot of your dog or kids. Explore the forests and parks, take walks as a family and savor the crisp air while observing animals busy preparing for winter. What are some of your favorite places on Delmarva to visit? Here are some of my recent snapshots from southern Delaware......

No matter how you mark the transition of the seasons, finding delight and calming vibes in one's surroundings is a peaceful, restorative practice. Simply sitting quietly on a park bench, the empty boardwalk or in your own backyard for a few minutes is time well spent. Admire, write out your thoughts, enjoy and reflect, because soon the demands of the holidays will be upon us and this evolution will be over. Wishing you a beautiful month ahead as we welcome in November.

Peace ~
