National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week

Thank you to the dedicated humans who work tirelessly to help homeless and abandoned animals. While the demands of your career are more exhausting today than ever before, please know you are doing work few individuals can handle.

  
Animal Shelter Appreciation Week was created to acknowledge the importance of those who serve in welfare, animal control, and sheltering facilities. Observed during the first full week of November (this year is Sunday 11/3 - Saturday, 11/9), the public is encouraged to reach out to individuals in these roles and to let them know how valued their work is. Please consider stopping by your local facility to drop off lunch, have pizza delivered, acknowledge area organizations on social media, or visit and volunteer.

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing people who care and continue on each day to provide comfort , assistance, and hope the creatures our society turns their back on. THANK YOU.
