Chapter 7, Day 31: Goodbye, July

It has been a time!! 31 days of hilariousness, frustration, fixing my mindset, laughter (not quite enough of that), being HOT, learning, listening, trying desperately to get back in shape, catching up with treasured friends (not enough of that either), and trying to remember that nothing worth having is easy.

How was YOUR July!? Did you achieve things you meant to do in month seven? It felt so exciting and sparkly and fresh, didn't it, back at the end of June? Independence Day celebrations and festivities lined up for the first week of July; fireworks and traffic, hot weather, beach time, cookouts, summer parties, picking blackberries (and tearing up my hands), noticing back to school merchandise popping up everywhere, shuddering at the fall displays creeping into retail stores, waiting for a spell of cooler temps to come our way, celebrating National Ice Cream Month, walking shelter dogs, the smell of fresh cut grass, looking ahead to dates and occasions for the autumn months, praying for the season to slow down.

As I get older the ONLY thing I know for sure is that the days roll by faster; the calendar pages flip more quickly; life moves by so much more swiftly than ever before. This month, I made it a point to try and meet up with a few people, stay in touch better, send a couple of cards, reconnect and cherish the amazing people in my life, and stay grateful. I hope the last 31 days brought joy to your life and laughter to your heart. 💛
