I Asked for the Same Respect I Gave To You

....and you disappeared, took a "time out", gave me the cold shoulder. All because I said "I'd like to feel that my needs/requests are important too".

  

If you're my close friend, I am your most loyal advocate. But if I ask for my needs to be respected, in the same manner I respect you, and that's "out of line", we're not on the same page. Silence, disappearing, and ignoring others, is not how I can exist, nor would I expect anyone else to. And all because I asked that my feelings be heard.
