International Museum Day May 18th

Celebrating the history and value that museums bring to our lives - May 18th is International Museum Day. I honestly could not imagine a world without such places that bring the past alive, educate people of all ages, and tell the story of progress. (Okay, so this post isn't as much about tourism as it is culture and personal enrichment, two things I believe are essential to building community and making connections where we live.)

If you haven't checked out local places in your area recently due to Covid, now would be a great time to find out when they plan to reopen. I bet you'd be surprised at what you learn just from small museums in your town or county - we don't even have kids but have been fascinated by our visits to many sites across the Delmarva Peninsula. Look and see what's nearby this weekend and get out to explore! 🙂
