Rescue Fire Company Train Garden in Cambridge, MD

We finally got here! Thanks to a stroke of luck with the Fire Company volunteers reopening the train garden during the Cambridge Ice Festival, we were granted one more opportunity to view this amazing attraction. For the first time ever, the model railroad wonderland opened it's doors after the holiday season, providing us one extra chance to visit during a cold January weekend.

What a delight this place is - these talented folks really knocked it out of the park this year! We're lucky to have this attraction here on Delmarva to enjoy, and although it was open many days during December, every time we tried to go our plans glitched and sadly we did not make it up there. I'm so glad they decided to open one additional weekend; there aren't many trains we'll drive an hour and a half to see, but stepping into that beautiful old fire station is like going into a magical fairy tale land.

View the entire album on Connecting Delmarva's Facebook page, along with pictures from the last five years of this event.

While today was officially the final opportunity to visit, you can certainly look forward to attending it again in December. Follow the Rescue Fire Company Train Garden Facebook page and check out their website too. The building is located at: 307 Gay Street in Cambridge, and you can find more information on their website and Facebook page.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Check out more information on the fun, beautiful, and historic places to visit across the fourteen counties of the Delmarva Peninsula at the social media links below. Have a great week!
