It's a Good Day to Be Grateful! (International Thank You Day)

January 11th is International Thank-You Day, an occasion which reminds us to show appreciation to others, practice courtesy, and express gratitude to those who have made a difference in our lives. You could leave a note for a teacher, public safety worker, neighbor, friend or mentor, to acknowledge a recent act of kindness or to recognize the impact someone has had on you.

“Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.” – Ralph Marston via happydays365.org

You could remember a special person who taught you more than the rest, took extra time, or instilled special qualities in your mind. "Never miss the opportunity to thank someone who has inspired, encouraged or been part of your journey."

I am always grateful for the business connections I have in my local area, as well as the store owners and shopkeepers who make our corner of the world a great place to live!

Who would you like to honor today with a special message, phone call, or even a text? I think sometimes we forget how much of an impact small gestures can have, or we just get busy and lose track with all the things we have going on in our lives, but sincere words of gratitude are ALWAYS in style and appropriate for everyone. I hope you get the chance to spread some love and light to another heart today by saying "thank you for what you do", or telling someone how much of a difference they made. 😇

Have a great day!
