For some people the holiday season can be anything but festive. The constant expectations and images of "perfect" family gatherings and homes filled with loved ones can leave many of us feeling empty and deflated. During the next month let's each reach out to someone who could use a friend.
Even small kind acts such as inviting a neighbor over for coffee or to take a walk.....asking a co-worker to lunch...bringing homemade treats to an acquaintance who seems down. It's no secret that suicides increase during this time of year - but we an ALL do something to help. Please consider reaching out to someone during the next month and spreading kindness.
I hope you find tools and coping strategies to navigate this time of the year. Remember, it doesn't last forever and what you see others doing may not necessarily mean they are the family of the year. Be kind to yourself. ~ peace
