As a lover of pizza and an advocate of small business, I'll admit I've always been partial to the mom and pop style establishments which are sprinkled generously across our area. Recently I've realized the joy of trying unique specialty items and different types of creations offered by the local restaurants, and think that National Pizza Day is a terrific opportunity to go out and explore new places.
What kind of pie is your favorite? Do you load up on toppings or prefer to go minimalist? I've always been a fan of the standard pepperoni and black olive combo but there is so much more to pizza than just that! I hope you have a chance to get out and explore your neighborhood businesses on February 9th, however this collection of pictures and images is suitable for any time of the year.
