On Saturday, June 12th, after what seemed like a forever wait for plump, delicious berries, we made a trek over to Kingsley Orchards Blueberry Farm in Frankford, Delaware. YUM. Oh my goodness. WOW. I'm not even kidding you, these are amazing blueberries!
Family-owned and operated, this orchard is described thus:
"We are a you-pick and retail blueberry farm in Frankford, Originally part of the historic Ryan's Blueberry Farm. We have been renovating for the past 2 years to bring it back to the old glory days ! Available for rental for events and hipcamp off season July -May."
These folks are now in their third year of operation and I'm pretty sure these are the best blueberries they have ever had. Friendly folks, and a very knowledgeable young man showed us around and drove us out to pick. A fun experience but you better run over there soon before the season ends!
